Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Expert-level proficiency with DAX and Power Query (M), including dimensional modeling and star schemas.
- Demonstrated ability to design dashboards with a strong UX/UI and data storytelling perspective.
- Proven experience independently leading stakeholder workshops, gathering requirements, and defining KPIs.
- Solid SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, or SQL Server.
- Experience delivering solutions in a consulting, client-facing, agency, or systems integration environment.
- Strong understanding of Power BI Service, governance, deployment pipelines, security, and performance optimization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, Power Apps, Power Automate, or Power BI Embedded is advantageous.
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or DP-500 are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI solutions including semantic models, dashboards, paginated reports, and embedded analytics.
- Develop advanced DAX measures and Power Query (M) transformations with performance optimization using DAX Studio and Tabular Editor.
- Implement enterprise-level governance including Row-Level Security, workspace management, deployment pipelines, and dataflows.
- Lead discovery workshops to translate ambiguous business needs into defined KPIs, data requirements, and actionable BI solutions.
- Create wireframes and intuitive dashboard experiences applying UX/UI, information design, and data storytelling principles.
- Establish reusable design systems, templates, and component standards to ensure consistency across client engagements.
- Mentor junior developers and analysts while promoting technical excellence, governance, and consistent delivery practices.
