- Minimum of one year of clinical experience
Requirements
- Master’s degree in the clinical behavioral health field (e.g., social work, counseling).
- Active, good-standing license within the state or ability to gain reciprocity within 90 days.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience, including internships and employment.
- Experience working with patients who have co-occurring mental health, substance use, and physical health problems.
- Proven experience with brief, structured intervention techniques (e.g., Behavioral Activation, Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Treatment).
- Competence in evidence-based psychosocial treatments (e.g., CBT, ACT, Interpersonal Therapy).
- Compassionate approach to whole patient care.
- Collaborative and professional mindset.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated telephonic Behavioral Health Manager when the primary clinician is unavailable to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist in rescheduling patient appointments to minimize disruptions following established communication protocols.
- Exercise sound clinical judgment to address patient crises.
- Coordinate appropriate interventions for patients.
- Support discharge planning for patients transitioning from behavioral health hospitalization.
