Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience (post-academic, post-internship).
- Working knowledge in at least one modern programming language.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: debugging, testing, reviewing code, and giving constructive technical feedback.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini Code Assist).
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (submissions not 100% in English will not be considered).
- Experience working remotely on global, distributed teams.
- Availability during U.S. hours.
- Must be residing in Bengaluru (Bangalore).
Responsibilities
- Design and build technical interview questions, including coding exercises, debugging challenges, knowledge assessments, and real-world engineering scenarios.
- Write and test interview content across multiple programming languages, checking that solutions are correct and consistent.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to speed up content creation, while applying engineering judgment to keep it accurate.
- Conduct peer reviews to make sure content meets Karat's technical and quality standards.
- Update content based on candidate performance data, interviewer feedback, and Content Corrections requests.
- Partner with Content Architecture to improve content development processes and assessment quality.
- Help improve development standards, templates, and documentation for the Content team.
