Requirements
- Staff-level engineering experience with a track record of owning production systems.
- Expertise in backend-leaning full-stack development using TypeScript.
- Deep experience with Node.js and React/React Native.
- Strong instincts for reliability, including state machines, data integrity, and operational risk.
- Ability to take systems from zero-to-one and scale them effectively.
- Strong judgment on technical tradeoffs between speed, safety, and abstraction.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to lead via technical decisions.
- High agency and proactive problem-solving capabilities.
- Decision-making backed by data and metrics.
- Nice-to-have: Experience in fintech, banking, or crypto-native domains.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with stablecoins, custody, and blockchain transaction lifecycles.
Responsibilities
- Own the hardest technical problems inside your team end to end.
- Set technical direction for core systems, including architecture and data models.
- Design for reliability, consistency, and graceful failure recovery.
- Develop backend services in TypeScript while remaining capable of working through the client or API layer.
- Define how systems handle edge cases such as timeouts, retries, and reconciliation.
- Improve frontend systems and integrations as necessary.
- Raise technical standards regarding testing, monitoring, and incident response.
- Mentor other engineers and drive technical clarity.
