Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including independently solving complex technical problems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, TypeScript, Go, Python, C#).
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining APIs, services, and distributed systems.
- Experience working with databases and applying software architecture, testing, and development best practices.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and influence the direction of complex initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and sound technical judgment skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in remote, geographically dispersed teams.
- Ability to travel occasionally, up to 15%, based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications, services, APIs, and platform capabilities.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of solutions that support complex business requirements and high transaction volumes.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate approaches, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Establish technical direction, including architecture, design patterns, system integrations, and engineering standards.
- Deliver software through automated build, testing, deployment, and continuous delivery processes.
- Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to other engineers.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to promote consistent practices and advance platform capabilities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled engineering tools, to improve developer effectiveness.
