Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in product management delivering data-centric products.
- Strong SQL proficiency for data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and analysis.
- Proven experience managing products through Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable user stories.
- Strong understanding of data governance concepts, including metadata, lineage, stewardship, and data quality.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Collibra or another enterprise data catalog platform is preferred.
- Exposure to modern data environments such as AWS or Azure is preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% as required.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, roadmap, and prioritization for data products, including datasets, pipelines, data quality rules, and dashboards.
- Translate stakeholder needs into well-defined epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Define and monitor product metrics such as adoption, data quality, SLA compliance, and performance.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Partner with data governance teams to establish stewardship workflows, naming standards, and data quality rules.
- Use SQL to validate datasets, investigate discrepancies, and troubleshoot data issues.
- Collaborate with data engineers on ingestion, transformation, schema design, and performance optimization.
