Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Strong SQL skills and practical experience with Oracle or comparable relational databases.
- Experience building complex, data-driven backend applications.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Solr/SolrCloud or another search and indexing platform.
- Strong automated-testing practices, including unit and integration testing.
- Experience with Gradle and static code-quality tools.
- Hands-on experience with Kiro, GitHub Copilot, or comparable AI coding tools.
- Ability to work within a disciplined AI-assisted development process (plan, review, implement, test, report).
- Ability to critically review AI-generated solutions and produce clear technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design, implement, and evolve REST APIs.
- Work with complex business logic and large volumes of structured healthcare data.
- Develop and optimize search functionality using Apache Solr/SolrCloud.
- Maintain interconnected services, shared libraries, and external API integrations.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Utilize AI coding agents like Kiro and GitHub Copilot to plan, implement, and validate code in a human-supervised process.
- Create technical designs, implementation plans, and clear documentation for QA and code reviews.
