Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in negotiating leases, outside sales, or property sale agreements.
- Active AAPL membership required.
- Residency in or near the DFW, TX area.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive).
- Intermediate familiarity with basic computer applications including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Willingness to undertake significant travel.
- Previous oil and gas, energy, or renewable energy negotiation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work independently to establish contact with multiple landowners across multiple counties/states.
- Establish a positive rapport with multiple landowners to facilitate a positive working relationship.
- Travel and meet with landowners as needed to successfully negotiate and secure lease agreements.
- Negotiate surface/sub-surface leases on behalf of clients.
- Educate landowners on the scope of the project including lease terms, conditions, and financial arrangements.
- Provide daily updates to an internal database for review by Project Managers and clients.
- Provide progress reports to Project Managers and/or clients on the status of their negotiations.
- Prepare Lease Purchase Reports containing executed agreements and necessary documentation.
- Conduct supplemental/limited title research in courthouses to confirm surface/sub-surface interests.
