Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a financial analyst or management accountant role.
- Strong experience with financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas).
- Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Practical experience supporting month-end close processes.
- Strong understanding of job costing or project-based accounting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- CMA, CPA, CIMA, or ACCA certification is desirable.
- Experience in insurance, construction, or property services is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software like Xero or QuickBooks.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify subcontractor and supplier invoices for accuracy, coding, and authorisation.
- Match invoices to job records and resolve cost discrepancies.
- Maintain real-time tracking of committed costs and spend per job.
- Prepare and submit invoices to insurer clients within payment windows.
- Produce monthly profit and loss accounts and rolling cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare weekly aged debtor and creditor summaries.
- Analyze cost-per-claim to assist leadership with profitability insights.
- Support year-end processes and financial compliance with GDPR and HMRC standards.
