Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and customizing Shopify-based eCommerce solutions, preferably within an agency or consulting environment.
- Significant experience with Shopify Plus and enterprise eCommerce implementations.
- Strong understanding of Shopify platform architecture, including themes, Liquid, APIs, and app development.
- Strong front-end development expertise across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Demonstrated experience designing solutions that integrate Shopify with broader enterprise technology ecosystems.
- Experience providing technical leadership to development teams and guiding engineers through complex implementations.
- Ability to participate effectively in client discovery, requirements gathering, and solution design.
- Experience with project estimation and pre-sales conversations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose complex technical challenges.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, project management tools, and modern version control practices.
- Excellent communication skills for building credibility with executive and technical stakeholders.
- Shopify certifications, such as Shopify Plus Certified or Shopify App Developer Certification, are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide eCommerce strategy, technical guidance, and architectural leadership for enterprise brands transitioning to Shopify Plus.
- Lead discovery sessions with clients to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and system dependencies.
- Design scalable Shopify architectures and integrations with ERP, OMS, PIM, payment, and marketing systems.
- Partner with sales teams to scope opportunities, assess feasibility, and define technical solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and developers to translate requirements into clear implementation plans.
- Architect and implement custom Shopify themes, features, applications, and third-party integrations.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the full engagement lifecycle, including estimation, development, launch, and optimization.
- Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and mentor development teams on best practices.
