Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of independent engineering experience supporting power projects and/or experience in power project development.
  • Experience working with multiple power generation technologies, such as thermal and renewable energy.
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and manage competing responsibilities while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, including the creation and maintenance of detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with project teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders at different organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to work collaboratively and provide guidance to others.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the United States and internationally as project requirements dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide development support, conceptual design, technical evaluations, and owner’s engineer services for electric power generation projects and facilities.
  • Conduct engineering design reviews and technical due diligence to assess project feasibility, technical performance, risks, and requirements.
  • Support project development activities across multiple power generation technologies, including thermal and renewable energy.
  • Contribute to conceptual engineering and design activities, with mechanical design experience on thermal power projects considered an advantage.
  • Support project economic analysis, cost assessments, financial modeling, risk evaluations, and contract development activities.
  • Work with project management teams to track and communicate project financials, schedules, risks, mitigation plans, contract backlogs, project status, and staffing requirements.
  • Provide high-level analytical, administrative, and coordination support to multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Participate in internal and client-facing project meetings as required, helping translate technical and project information into clear actions and deliverables.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, deadlines, and maintenance of deliverable schedules across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Help guide the adoption of modern engineering tools, automation, data-driven workflows, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and support cost-effective designs.
