Requirements
- 2–5 years of professional experience as a software tester, with at least 3 years of hands-on testing experience in large-scale systems.
- Experience with U.S. healthcare payer systems, including MMIS/MES, Medicaid, Medicare, or eligibility platforms.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy requirements.
- Proficiency in developing and executing SIT, UAT, end-to-end, and regression test scenarios.
- Experience creating and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
- Strong defect management skills, including triage, tracking, and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to create and manage test data across business and technical teams.
- Understanding of database concepts and basic SQL query development.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and scripting languages.
- Proficiency with test and defect management platforms such as Jira, Jama, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, QTest, or ALM.
- Experience supporting State Medicaid modernization or MMIS programs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, review, and execute comprehensive manual test cases covering SIT, UAT, regression, and business process validation.
- Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to ensure complete requirements coverage.
- Create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) and manage test dependencies and risks.
- Execute testing for healthcare software workflows including eligibility, benefits, and integrated business processes.
- Document and track defects throughout the lifecycle, participating in triage and root-cause analysis.
- Create and coordinate test data required for SIT and UAT execution.
- Validate software fixes in collaboration with development teams.
- Communicate findings and requirements status to project and client stakeholders.
