Requirements
- 8+ years of professional product design experience, including work on complex, systems-level, platform, infrastructure-adjacent, or enterprise products.
- 3+ years of experience managing product designers, including senior-level individual contributors.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product craft, systems thinking, and the ability to simplify complex experiences.
- Strong visual and interaction design judgment with experience establishing and maintaining quality standards.
- Demonstrated experience setting design strategy across interconnected product areas.
- Experience building, evolving, governing, or scaling a design system.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills and ability to influence Product and Engineering at a strategic level.
- Technical fluency enabling collaboration with Engineering regarding architecture, data models, and platform constraints.
- Strong understanding of AI-driven digital product experiences and design practices.
- Experience designing complex B2B SaaS or enterprise software products is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and drive alignment across teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of product designers, including senior individual contributors.
- Define the product design strategy and quality standards for shared platform experiences in close partnership with Product and Engineering leadership.
- Operate as a player-coach by personally tackling high-leverage, technically complex, or ambiguous design challenges.
- Establish and maintain a high bar for interaction and visual design across complex, systems-oriented product experiences.
- Apply systems thinking to identify cross-product dependencies and opportunities for shared patterns.
- Represent Design in roadmap planning, prioritization, product strategy, and architectural discussions.
- Build alignment across teams through influence and collaboration.
- Drive the adoption and evolution of the shared design system across product teams.
- Champion AI-native product thinking and AI-assisted design practices.
