Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field (math, finance, actuarial science, or analytics preferred).
- 4-6+ years of related analytical and property & casualty industry experience.
- Expert knowledge of Excel.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to efficiently work with large and complex data sets.
- Ability to summarize complex business concepts into written and oral communications.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Understanding of key industry financial/operational metrics.
- Strong organization, project, and time management skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze claims data and effectively communicate conclusions in writing and verbally to internal partners.
- Draw insights and observations from detailed and multifaceted claims data and reports.
- Present findings to senior leaders.
- Respond to urgent/timely requests and produce routine and ad hoc information.
- Lead the development or enhancement of complex reports and tools for multiple lines of business.
- Quantify the impacts of internal operational changes and external trends on frequency, severity, and overall loss results.
- Develop industry knowledge and internal data expertise to provide solutions to complex business questions.
