Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced tech environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Experience with modern startup ERP systems.
- Proficiency with Stripe and Ramp.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Highly adaptable with a hands-on approach to building systems and processes.
- Experience in venture-backed, PE-backed, or marketplace-based companies is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the daily, monthly, and annual financial close processes, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Design, implement, and scale financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to protect company assets.
- Prepare accurate, timely monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for management review.
- Manage local, state, and federal tax filings, regulatory compliance, and support annual external audits or reviews.
- Evaluate, select, and implement modern financial tech stacks and automation tools such as ERPs, expense management, and billing software.
- Partner with operations and department heads to support initiatives and data needs.
