Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent business degree.
  • 2-5+ years of relevant industry or public accounting experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivated.
  • Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • CPA license or actively working towards obtaining license (preferred).
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure and reporting requirements (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with SEC reporting software like Workiva (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of Sprout’s SEC filings, such as 8-Ks, 10-Qs and 10-Ks, including the associated XBRL tagging requirements.
  • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and other disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Create underlying workpapers and analyses to support the company’s disclosures and prepare the disclosure checklist.
  • Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders, including Legal, Investor Relations, Finance and Accounting, in order to complete Sprout’s SEC filings.
  • Ensure SOX compliance throughout our financial reporting and related processes.
  • Interface with external auditors and facilitate their procedures over Sprout’s SEC filings.
  • Perform ad hoc disclosure benchmarking research of peer group companies.
  • Prepare share-based compensation entries and reconciliation for month-end close and provide equity-related analysis.
