Requirements
- 1+ years of experience managing engineering teams in fast-paced settings, preferably in fintech.
- Strong technical expertise in Python, Node.js, or Go.
- Proven track record in hiring, performance management, and professional development of engineering staff.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in designing, deploying, and managing BI platforms, data notebooks, or data catalogs.
- Strong ability to manage flexible planning and balance dynamic priorities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- B1 or higher English level proficiency.
- Adaptable, structured mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Experience with SRE processes is a bonus.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, Airflow, DBT, Kubernetes, Snowflake, or Lake House architectures is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, overseeing their performance, professional development, and regular 1-on-1s.
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to identify user pain points and brainstorm effective technical solutions.
- Drive team planning activities, creating and managing development plans while adapting to shifting priorities.
- Oversee service maintenance and reliability of DWH tools in alignment with SRE processes.
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of data ecosystem tools such as Superset, Jupyter Hub, and DataHub.
- Manage communication with data engineers and analysts to ensure effective tool usability and data integration.
