Requirements
- Completed post-secondary education in Applied Geography, Geographic Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of GIS, AutoCAD, or network documentation system experience.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience with spatial data, data entry, and conversion.
- 2+ years of demonstrated outstanding project management skills.
- Familiarity with IQGeo for viewing plant data.
- Strong experience with SQL queries and PostGIS.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently in an asynchronous environment.
- Industry and GIS/CAD specific certifications and training (preferred).
- Programming experience with Go and Python (an asset).
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro (an asset).
Responsibilities
- Manage the GIS ticket queue to support internal users.
- Resolve data discrepancies such as address availability errors using plant drawings, maps, and aerial photography.
- Ingest and validate new address records from partner construction batches.
- Audit partner address releases against invoices and provided data to ensure accuracy.
- Convert various CAD formats into structured data for ingestion into IQGeo.
- Maintain system of record data in response to network changes and plant placements.
- Execute FCC reporting tasks bi-annually.
- Generate reports for internal stakeholders using database queries and geospatial tools.
