Requirements
- Four (4) year college degree.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant work experience with growing responsibilities.
- Proficient knowledge of insurance benefits and contracts.
- Demonstrated record of strong interpersonal skills and relationship building.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and exhibit good judgment.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Strong customer service skills and commitment to quality.
- Proficient PC skills and technical ability to navigate required systems.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Prior healthcare and/or home care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Obtain authorizations for care from insurance carriers and manage denial support.
- Act as a liaison between service office providers, insurance carriers, and revenue cycle management functions.
- Drive authorization and eligibility workflows, including initial, reauthorization, and EVV compliance.
- Lead annual audits and compliance reviews in partnership with management.
- Manage a caseload and provide customer support for dedicated service offices.
- Perform utilization management to ensure accurate service requests and review plans of care.
- Submit appeals to insurance companies and review authorization data to mitigate claim errors.
- Provide mentorship, educational support, and guidance to associate-level team members.
- Create user documentation, process diagrams, and training materials.
