Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- PE licensure.
- 6+ years of ASRS structural engineering experience.
- Advanced understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards.
- Project management experience or ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus.
- SE licensure in California is a plus.
- Proficiency in Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit, or Ram Connection is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of structural engineers to design and prepare deliverables for full building design and delegated steel design projects.
- Perform structural analysis and manage full building design and delegated steel design projects.
- Develop calculations and create new calculation methods to enhance efficiency.
- Review steel shop drawings, prepare submittals, and develop RFIs.
- Utilize analysis software such as Tekla Structural Designer, RISA Suite, and Revit.
- Review 3-D BIM models to aid in building and connection design.
- Obtain planning and building regulations approval.
