- 2+ years of research experience in academia or industry after PhD graduation or 5+ years after Master’s graduation.

Requirements
- PhD in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong background in model-based reinforcement learning.
- Demonstrated knowledge in planning algorithms, world models, deep learning, control theory, or safe RL.
- 2+ years of research experience in academia or industry after PhD, or 5+ years after Master’s degree.
- Extensive research experience in ModelBased, ModelFree, or Safe RL and Control Theory.
- Hands-on experience building/evaluating agents against simulators and closing sim-to-real gaps.
- Alignment with company values: Agency, Velocity, Craft, and Truth.
- Experience with Python and PyTorch.
- Experience with distributed compute frameworks such as Ray or Kubernetes preferred.
- Proven track record of publications in RL, control, or related areas preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate model-based reinforcement learning agents and planning-based controllers (MPC, MPPI).
- Develop learned dynamics and world models that generalize across industrial systems.
- Research and implement methods for safe RL, constrained control, and Bayesian RL.
- Present research findings and status clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize collaborative research projects and translate research into production outcomes.
- Mentor and guide Research Engineers in applying research findings to industrial domains.
- Define new research directions and own the development for entire research areas.
