Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle, revenue recovery, denials, collections, hospital finance, or managed care experience.
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience managing multiple teams, functions, products, or business lines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading revenue recovery, denials, appeals, collections, or Zero Balance financial operations.
  • Proven experience with financial ownership, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, profitability, and margin management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies that drive measurable revenue and profitability improvements.
  • Experience leading large, complex organizations through managers and senior leaders.
  • Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle, payer behavior, reimbursement methodologies, and provider contract language.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare billing standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Establish strategic priorities aligned with revenue, margin, client value, and company growth objectives.
  • Own the strategy, financial performance, and operational execution of Zero Balance Recovery.
  • Continuously improve inventory identification, claim prioritization, workflows, payer strategies, staffing, and technology.
  • Partner with Product and Technology to expand automation, AI, analytics, and scalable Zero Balance capabilities.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business planning.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Revenue Recovery and Denials organization through strong managers and leaders.
  • Ensure appropriate compliance, policies, procedures, training, and operational standards are maintained.
  • Represent Revenue Recovery and Denials in executive leadership and cross-functional initiatives.
