Requirements
- Minimum of five years of actuarial experience.
- ACAS certification (working towards or recently attained FCAS).
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, R, Power BI, Databricks, and SQL.
- Experience with analytical software and programming languages.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and developing strategic pricing plans.
- Working knowledge of machine learning, stochastic processes, and Monte Carlo simulations.
- Intermediate proficiency with Excel and common statistical software.
- Ability to communicate complex findings to business partners.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert in actuarial methodologies, conducting complex analyses and providing high-level consultation.
- Build and maintain business relationships, leading pricing and product initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders to deliver actionable, data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Research and implement financial engineering, data science and statistical techniques for risk management.
- Own complex quantitative modeling processes and identify industry standards for model efficacy.
- Collaborate to ensure consistent model assumptions, processes and outputs.
- Review and analyze model output to identify limitations and provide corrective quantitative methods.
- Craft and update model documentation for business continuity purposes.
