Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Active RN license in the State of Residence.
- Active RN-Registered Nurse license of California (must acquire prior to start date).
- 2 years' experience of practical nursing in a hospital, clinic, urgent care, or emergency room/department.
- 2 years' experience with several specialties and subspecialties (OB/GYN preferred).
- Reliable home internet with minimum 15 mbps download and 5 mbps upload speeds.
- Professional knowledge of clinical nursing protocols, regulations, and risk management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical telephone support to patients and other callers.
- Perform in-basket and other remote support for physicians.
- Assess patient needs and appropriately disposition cases using nursing process and approved protocols.
- Collaborate with providers to renew electronic prescriptions.
- Identify hospital and community resources, consultations, and referrals.
- Perform nursing follow-up activities.
- Manage messages and communications within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Provide limited patient care in an outpatient setting.
