Requirements
- CA/CPA qualification with relevant post-qualification experience in tax, finance, accounting, or compliance.
- 6+ years of experience in Big 4 audit or consulting.
- At least 2 years of PFIC-related experience.
- Strong knowledge of international tax principles, specifically PFIC rules and reporting.
- Experience managing multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction structures, ideally involving US, Cayman Islands, and/or Costa Rica entities.
- Demonstrated experience with intercompany loan structures, reconciliations, documentation, and transfer-pricing considerations.
- Experience overseeing statutory compliance, financial reporting, audits, and regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience overseeing accounts payable and payroll functions across multiple entities or jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to manage external accounting firms, tax advisors, and outsourced finance providers.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to work confidently with detailed financial data and compliance schedules.
- Exposure to cryptocurrency or digital-asset treasury operations is a strong advantage.
- Experience with Campfire is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Own tax compliance across multiple group entities, including US, Cayman Islands, and Costa Rica operations, with oversight of relevant UK and Australian requirements.
- Manage PFIC reporting and other international tax obligations, ensuring filings, elections, disclosures, and supporting documentation are accurate and delivered on time.
- Partner with external tax advisors to interpret evolving requirements, resolve technical matters, and maintain strong compliance standards as the organization expands into new jurisdictions.
- Manage intercompany loan agreements, balances, settlements, documentation, reconciliations, and relevant transfer-pricing considerations across entities.
- Oversee crypto treasury compliance, including wallet and exchange reconciliations, fair-market-value recording, and group-wide visibility into cash and digital-asset positions.
- Act as the finance owner for statutory and regulatory compliance across the organization’s international entities.
- Coordinate local statutory filings, audits, and regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating jurisdictional compliance risks.
- Oversee accounts payable processes and own payroll activities across entities and jurisdictions.
- Serve as the primary finance contact for external accounting firms and outsourced providers.
