  • At least 3 years of sales management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the eye care industry is considered desirable.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and motivating a regional sales team.
  • Background in life sciences, commercial business, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
  • Understanding of the eye care market, including industry dynamics and customer segments.
  • Operational sales and key account management experience with practical knowledge of channel management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate market intelligence into effective plans.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to pursue new business opportunities.
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience in high-growth or evolving environments.
  • Current full driving license.
  • Ability to undertake occasional international travel.
  • Ideally based on the US West Coast with access to a major airport.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Regional Account Managers through coaching, mentoring, and performance support.
  • Translate business strategy into regional sales plans and ensure team alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Establish a consistent management cadence via meetings, field visits, ride-alongs, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Monitor regional performance, territory plans, and sales metrics to ensure revenue growth.
  • Lead the execution of sales cycles, product launches, and commercial priorities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer intelligence to inform regional strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to address field requirements and strengthen product knowledge.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain high-potential sales talent.
