Requirements
- Strong PostgreSQL experience: complex queries, performance tuning, and schema design.
- Solid data modeling and systems-design judgment.
- Hands-on systems integration experience, stitching together APIs, tools, and workflows.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping production systems quickly and reliably.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to CircuitHub factories (US and UK).
- Ability to spend time on the factory floor partnering with operators and engineers.
- Ability to maintain at least four hours of daily overlap with US East Coast and UK teams.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, logistics, ERP/MRP, or supply-chain systems (nice-to-have).
- Experience building internal tools or operational software (nice-to-have).
- Experience keeping mission-critical operational systems fast and reliable (nice-to-have).
Responsibilities
- Own entire production software systems end-to-end, from discovery through deployment and operational impact.
- Build and maintain internal operational stacks connecting planning, materials, purchasing, personnel, and factory processes.
- Partner with factory operators, engineers, and leadership to ensure factory scalability.
- Develop production planning tools and inventory/materials-flow systems.
- Improve factory operator workflows and integrate new automation equipment.
- Apply AI and LLMs to automate operational decision-making, purchasing, and machine diagnostics.
- Build software systems that coordinate manufacturing decisions across people, robots, inventory, and suppliers in real time.
