Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, and dependency/workload management.
- Proven experience designing and implementing ETLs on Databricks and/or GCP.
- Proficiency in analytics frameworks and languages including Python, PySpark, and Databricks (Scala is a plus).
- Familiarity with big data tools: Apache Spark, BigQuery, GCS, Cloud Composer, and Unity Catalog.
- Experience with Big Data pipeline management via streams and/or batches for high-intensive applications.
- Experience with MySQL relational databases.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data processes.
- Advanced English proficiency (B2-C1, spoken and written).
- Experience leading teams is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
- Design and build robust ETL/ELT processes on GCP for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data.
- Build analytics tools to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition and operational efficiency.
- Integrate diverse data ecosystems by connecting with CDPs, ERPs, and external systems.
- Support stakeholders with data-related technical issues and infrastructure needs.
- Create data tools to assist analytics and data scientist teams in building product features.
- Collaborate with data and analytics experts to enhance data system functionality.
