Requirements
- Several years of experience building and operating cloud infrastructure at scale.
- Strong expertise in AWS, Terraform, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on site reliability engineering experience with primary on-call responsibility.
- Experience completing at least one zero-downtime migration involving a stateful service.
- Background in real-time or physical systems such as industrial technology, energy, robotics, or automotive.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or both.
- Practical experience using AI development tools with a perspective on verification and safety.
- Proven experience building self-service tooling for internal engineering teams.
- Sound operational judgment regarding system safeguards and risk management.
- Willingness to learn industrial/operational technology protocols.
Responsibilities
- Own the full data path from the edge, through streaming ingestion, into the warehouse, and back out to asset dispatch.
- Define service-level objectives, build freshness and gap detection, and ensure actionable observability.
- Manage and evolve AWS footprint across multiple accounts using Terraform, ECS, and Lambda.
- Build systems for safe agent-authored code deployment including CI, test infrastructure, and automated guardrails.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for systems that dispatch instructions to a physical plant.
- Design and create self-service tools, paved paths, and platform capabilities for internal engineers.
