Requirements

  • Significant professional experience designing and developing integrations, APIs, and data exchange systems.
  • Strong background building data-centric systems, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data architecture, and data integration workflows.
  • Hands-on coding proficiency with Python and Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience with tools such as Dagster, Airbyte, Airflow, or dbt.
  • Strong systems and architectural thinking, with the ability to design scalable solutions while balancing performance, cost, reliability, and governance.
  • High ownership mentality, with the ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, identify solutions, and drive initiatives through to completion.
  • Experience collaborating across product, data, compliance, security, and other functions.
  • Comfortable incorporating AI into engineering workflows, including AI coding assistants, AI-enabled agents, and MCP servers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working within Scrum or Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate integrations, APIs, and data exchange systems connecting financial products with accounting, ERP, data, and AI-enabled platforms.
  • Own integration pipelines and service-level expectations end-to-end, establishing clear metrics and ensuring reliable data movement between systems.
  • Define and maintain robust data contracts that protect downstream integrations and analytics from upstream changes.
  • Design and implement data-centric systems, including ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data architectures.
  • Contribute directly to development through code reviews, implementation work, technical troubleshooting, and ownership of critical customer data issues.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Research, Business Development, and go-to-market teams to deliver secure, compliant, and seamless integration experiences.
  • Influence technical strategy across the organization by advocating for engineering priorities, integration standards, and scalable architectural practices.
  • Establish and improve observability across integration systems to monitor system health, identify issues, and accelerate troubleshooting.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to help maintain the reliability of production integration systems.
