Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in design principles, fault tolerance, scalability, security, and test-driven development.
- Experience developing and scaling microservices using modern cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Proven experience working with high volume / low latency data infrastructures.
- Solid understanding of security engineering best practices.
- Experience building systems running in multiple regions.
- Technical proficiency with Java, Springboot, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Kafka, and JPOS.
- Ability to lead projects and work cross-functionally with other organizations.
- Experience partnering with product teams to bring innovative solutions to market.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap and author system designs for card issuing and payment processing products.
- Write, review, and optimize code across the core issuing and processing stack.
- Drive high-impact technical initiatives to improve performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to provide technical recommendations for onboarding, issuing, digital wallets, and transaction controls.
- Mentor technical leads, influence stakeholders, and establish success metrics to drive engineering excellence.
- Apply and evangelize modern software design practices to increase platform resiliency and scalability.
