Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience related to PCB manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of the complete PCB manufacturing process, including process flows, production steps, and tooling.
- Strong understanding of PCB electrical design performance, signal integrity, controlled impedance, and insertion loss.
- Experience analyzing PCB designs for manufacturability, reliability, and performance.
- Intermediate proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with PCB CAM software, tooling, and PCB stack-up tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and public-speaking abilities.
- Ability to travel approximately 15–25% for customer and facility visits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to customer PCB designers and manufacturing teams regarding routing, layout, signal integrity, stack-up configuration, and materials.
- Educate customers on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Value (DFV) principles.
- Review customer designs and design packages to identify potential manufacturability, reliability, or specification issues.
- Facilitate the resolution of technical issues between customers and internal pre-production engineering teams to reduce design-cycle time.
- Communicate manufacturing capabilities and technology roadmaps to customers through presentations and consultations.
- Provide internal manufacturing facilities with insights into customer needs, capability gaps, and development priorities.
- Support Sales Account Managers by providing technical expertise to develop customer relationships and expand revenue.
- Support key program visits, issue resolution, and manufacturing site tours.
