Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with backend Java
- Fluency with the modern JVM ecosystem (e.g., Spring Boot, build tooling, testing)
- Deep understanding of concurrency, correctness under load, and API design
- Pragmatic approach to design patterns and engineering trade-offs
- Hands-on experience with Camunda 7 or 8 (BPMN modeling, workers, process versioning) is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and asynchronously in a remote setup
- Proficiency in using AI/LLMs as a productivity multiplier
- Interest in occasionally working with TypeScript/React is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services in modern Java 17+
- Make architecture decisions regarding API design, data modeling, and concurrency
- Collaborate directly with clients and teammates on feature development and deployments
- Review PRs and contribute to maintaining an elegant and reliable codebase
- Contribute strategic ideas beyond individual tickets
- Report progress consistently via PRs, recorded video demos, and project boards
