Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience with strong hands-on TypeScript/Node.js
- Proven experience designing and building API integrations with third-party systems
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL including data modeling, queries, and performance
- Experience with cloud and serverless environments (Cloudflare Workers/Hono, or Node on AWS/GCP)
- Solid understanding of building reliable, testable services with automated tests
- Experience with background jobs, queues, and scheduling
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a remote or distributed team
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the API and integration layer connecting the platform to external source systems
- Automate data flows that are currently manual and implement reconciliation across systems
- Design and implement PostgreSQL schemas and canonical data models
- Implement PHI controls including audit logging, retention, and data segregation
- Build background jobs, queues, and scheduled tasks for ingestion and syncing
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on API contracts and data flows
- Write automated tests and own the reliability of services
