Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in designing and launching backend systems using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
- Experience designing and operating batch processing or asynchronous workloads with a focus on observability and failure handling.
- Ability to define technical plans for significant features with simple, extensible designs.
- Experience making significant changes in large code bases safely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals while supporting engineers through ambiguity.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to articulate technical constraints and make trade-offs.
- Identify and lead solutions for project, process, or business issues.
- Support operations and system availability through monitoring, metrics, and on-call efforts.
- Set and improve code review and design standards.
- Mentor team members by providing feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
