Requirements
- 8–10+ years of hands-on professional software engineering experience.
- Strong engineering expertise with Python and/or Go, combined with strong TypeScript/JavaScript capabilities.
- Proven experience designing, building, and scaling production-grade software systems.
- Strong backend development experience with technologies such as FastAPI and Pydantic.
- Experience with React and modern frontend development using TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Solid experience working with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to focus on fundamental engineering principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and operate effectively without extensive supervision.
- Clear communication skills, strong ownership, and a collaborative, low-ego approach.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and tools quickly.
- Experience with AWS, infrastructure, or performance optimization is a plus.
- Strong system-design knowledge and the ability to articulate and defend architectural decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own software features end-to-end, from initial requirements and technical design through development, deployment, and production support.
- Design, build, and maintain clean, scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend and full-stack applications.
- Develop backend services using Python or Go, with technologies such as FastAPI and Pydantic.
- Build and enhance frontend experiences using React, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, Zustand, and Tailwind CSS.
- Work with PostgreSQL and related data-access technologies, including SQLAlchemy where applicable.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with product and operations stakeholders to prioritize work and deliver pragmatic solutions.
- Make sound technical decisions independently while balancing speed, quality, maintainability, and business priorities.
- Contribute to system design and architecture decisions, clearly communicating and defending technical recommendations.
