Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Significant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management within an R&D environment.
- Expertise in CRO and FSP outsourcing models and market dynamics.
- Strong capability in supplier relationship management, governance, and risk oversight.
- Advanced skills in commercial contract negotiations, including master service agreements and rate cards.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and R&D leaders.
- Strong financial and analytical skills for building business cases and data-driven recommendations.
- Experience leading complex transformation or sourcing projects from strategy to implementation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and contract management systems.
- Ability to travel as required on a limited basis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies for R&D services, including CRO, FSP, digitalization, and AI initiatives.
- Partner with internal R&D stakeholders to translate business needs into effective sourcing and vendor strategies.
- Identify and implement cost optimization and value-creation opportunities through robust business cases.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance reviews, governance, risk oversight, and issue resolution.
- Lead complex master service agreement and rate card negotiations to secure competitive commercial terms.
- Evaluate and integrate external digital and AI-enabled solutions to enhance R&D efficiency and delivery.
