Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience leading quality initiatives for significant, complex, and cross-functional software projects.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and guiding quality engineers and providing technical leadership within a QE organization.
  • Extensive experience developing, implementing, and maintaining test automation strategies and frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in mobile application testing and API automation, ideally within customer-facing retail, POS, Clienteling, CRM, or similar applications.
  • Hands-on experience with XCUITest for iOS UI automation and Playwright for API or web testing.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD integration, automated testing practices, defect management, and modern quality engineering methodologies.
  • Experience defining test plans, acceptance criteria, risk assessments, and release-readiness processes in Agile environments.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS application deployment processes, including TestFlight and App Store Connect.

Responsibilities

  • Define, own, and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans for the Clienteling application ecosystem, ensuring alignment with product requirements and iterative Agile delivery.
  • Lead quality engineering activities for complex initiatives spanning multiple Agile teams, integrations, and application touchpoints.
  • Architect, design, maintain, and oversee scalable and reliable test automation frameworks for mobile and API testing.
  • Drive adoption and effective use of XCUITest for UI automation and Playwright for API testing, with strong integration into CI/CD pipelines and a focus on minimizing flaky tests.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product leaders to understand requirements, establish clear acceptance criteria, assess risks, and embed quality throughout the development process.
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior and mid-level quality engineers, helping develop their technical capabilities while fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Own the complete defect lifecycle, including triage, prioritization, tracking, resolution, and communication with Product and Development teams.
