Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex, high-severity claims involving litigation.
- Strong knowledge of litigated claim management, coverage evaluation, and defense counsel coordination.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven relationship-building and collaboration skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and influence claim outcomes.
- Proficiency in modern claims technology and management systems.
- Associate in Claims (AIC) designation required.
- CPCU designation or other relevant insurance industry education preferred.
- Must currently reside in WI, IL, IN, IA, MN, MI, KS, KY, TN, NC, VA, AZ, MO, or OH.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex and high-exposure claims within a specialized line of business.
- Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to adjusters, managers, agents, and examiners.
- Evaluate coverage issues and prepare well-supported coverage opinions.
- Direct and collaborate with defense counsel on litigated claims to support effective strategies.
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims using modern technology.
- Analyze claim information, identify risks, and make recommendations for action.
- Deliver service to internal and external stakeholders while maintaining compliance.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with the development, coaching, and training of claims team members.
