Requirements

  • 5-10 years of work experience as a controls engineer, programmer, or equivalent.
  • Expertise in HVAC and Data Center cooling control methodologies and chiller plant operations.
  • Understanding of applied thermodynamics for cooling, refrigeration, and hydronics.
  • Working knowledge of industrial and commercial control systems and protocols (BACnet, Modbus).
  • Experience programming control systems with PLC, ladder logic, text, or block programming languages.
  • Ability to read and write Python scripts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to own and manage documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with field operations challenges.
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Control Theory, or Applied Mathematics.

Responsibilities

  • Create facility models for ingestion into product systems based on customer needs.
  • Commission and tune AI control products and perform system analysis and triage.
  • Define product requirements by translating customer needs into documentation for software teams.
  • Lead deployment and support for multiple solutions, including resolving tickets and monitoring system performance.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert for internal initiatives and customer-facing support.
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Technical Program Manager teams to operationalize AI in production.
