Requirements
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Physician Assistant.
- Active license to practice in state(s) where patients reside, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses.
- Commitment to evidence-based care and professional development.
- Effective communication skills with patients and caregivers.
- Experience treating eating disorders, emotion dysregulation, suicidal ideation, substance use, trauma, mood/anxiety disorders, and ADHD.
- Ability to work full-time with patient scheduling between 8am-8pm EST.
- Ability to commit to working until 6 pm two evenings per week.
- Ability to attend all mandatory meetings such as supervision and team huddles.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management for psychiatrically complex patients with eating disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and consultation to outside psychiatric providers for ongoing treatment.
- Implement medication treatment plans for individuals with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions in a virtual clinic setting.
- Evaluate eating disorder-related medical risk within the psychiatric scope of care, including medication decisions and safety assessments.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team of medical providers, dietitians, therapists, patient mentors, and family mentors.
- Utilize between-session messaging to support patients and communicate through the company EMR.
- Engage and collaborate in treatment team meetings, supervision, and learning opportunities.
