Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.
- 2-3 years of P&C insurance product management experience or 3-5 years of P&C insurance Product Analyst experience.
- Familiarity with P&C insurance policy and claims work processes, data, and metrics.
- Experience with commercial lines rating plans, including ISO loss costs or proprietary models.
- Expertise in insurance pricing strategies for property and casualty.
- Demonstrated competency in process analysis and automation.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with SQL and Python for data extraction and reporting from data warehouses.
- Working knowledge of actuarial fundamentals, including loss development triangles, rate level indications, and trend analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product scorecards to monitor key performance indicators and identify trends.
- Utilize SQL, Python, and data warehouse tools to acquire, summarize, and report policy, premium, and loss data.
- Manage rating plans and pricing strategies in collaboration with underwriting business unit leaders.
- Oversee policy forms kits, including ISO, carrier-specific, and proprietary forms and applications.
- Collaborate with the tech team to identify requirements to streamline and automate underwriting and policy issuance processes.
- Analyze loss results from claims TPAs using statistical credibility and loss development maturity.
- Evaluate competitive landscape to identify gaps and develop product enhancements.
