Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in FP&A, controlling, treasury, or performance management roles.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial and investment models from a blank sheet.
- Experience operating as the sole finance professional in an organization.
- Strong proficiency in project economics and operational performance analysis.
- Experience in agribusiness, emerging markets, or project finance is highly preferred.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 60–80 days per year to locations including Kenya, India, LATAM, and SEA.
- Ability to work autonomously and establish processes from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Develop business cases and economic models for new projects and capital investments including ROI/IRR and sensitivity analysis.
- Partner with commercial and operations leads to pressure-test project economics prior to capital commitment.
- Implement a finance-led forecasting process for crop-cycle-driven operational performance.
- Manage weekly cash positioning and 13-week rolling forecasts per country in coordination with the Treasurer.
- Oversee treasury operations including payment execution, working capital planning, and USD/KES/INR FX management.
- Enforce approval matrices, manage budget compliance, and conduct internal control testing.
- Lead the ERPNext rollout across treasury, procurement, and controls modules.
- Direct and mentor local accountants across different regions to ensure quality and consistency.
