Requirements
- 5+ years of administrative experience; experience in a tax practice is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including features and formulas.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Technology savvy with the ability to quickly learn Windows-based applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage upwards.
- Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task and self-direct.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize large volumes of information.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences, and department activities.
- Deliver tax returns, extensions, and estimates in both electronic and paper formats.
- Prepare zero extensions in tax software and handle e-filing of tax returns.
- Coordinate receipt of signed e-file authorizations and prepare/proofread correspondence.
- Manage due date reporting for IRS/tax authority deadlines and track partner prospects/leads.
- Create reports in Microsoft Excel utilizing intermediate formulas, charts, and graphs.
- Handle confidential files, new client set-up, and expense reporting.
