Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years operating at Staff Engineer level or equivalent.
- Proven experience building production AI/LLM or agent-based systems.
- Strong understanding of designing AI systems treating models as untrusted subsystems using safeguards and verification.
- Depth in two of: LLM/agent systems, temporal/provenance data modeling, integration reliability, multi-tenant architecture, enterprise identity, or inference cost optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to measure and improve system metrics including reliability and cost.
- Strong architectural and systems-thinking capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for ambiguous, technically complex challenges.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for remote environments.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
- Hands-on engineering mindset with ability to move between strategy and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve production-grade LLM and autonomous agent systems that take multi-step actions against real data and users.
- Build evaluation harnesses, golden datasets, regression suites, and drift-detection capabilities to measure agent quality.
- Create architectures that preserve temporal state, provenance, and traceability for audit packages.
- Ensure systems reliably handle partial or upstream integration failures.
- Shape technical architecture in areas such as tenant isolation, enterprise identity, and inference economics.
- Establish engineering standards and architectural principles across the organization.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, and Customer Experience teams to guide technical decisions.
- Lead through influence by mentoring engineers and navigating complex deliveries.
