Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related discipline (master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare environments.
  • Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical data assets: payer claims, EDI 852/867, specialty pharmacy feeds, and copay/PAP transactional data.
  • Proficiency in developing production-grade Power BI dashboards and SQL-based data models.
  • Experience applying AI, machine learning, or Generative AI tools (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Python libraries) to business problems.
  • Strong understanding of Market Access concepts: gross-to-net, formulary dynamics, prior authorization, and patient access.
  • Capacity to translate complex datasets into compelling business narratives.
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance within regulated healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain production-grade SQL data models and Power BI dashboards integrating payer claims, EDI, copay, PAP, and specialty pharmacy datasets.
  • Develop automated reporting and self-service analytics solutions to replace manual processes and accelerate decision-making.
  • Embed AI and Generative AI capabilities, including conversational analytics and anomaly detection, into analytics solutions.
  • Prototype and operationalize machine learning models for prescription abandonment, patient persistence, and demand prediction.
  • Analyze payer, patient services, and specialty pharmacy data to identify coverage trends and access risks.
  • Build patient journey analytics to identify intervention opportunities across the benefits verification and prior authorization processes.
  • Develop analytics for gross-to-net drivers, rebates, and patient assistance costs to support forecasting and scenario modeling.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Market Access, Payer Strategy, and Finance to translate business questions into technical solutions.
