Requirements
- 5+ years of working experience in a data engineering or AI engineering role, including meaningful hands-on data engineering experience.
- Expert Python and SQL knowledge with strong hands-on data modeling experience.
- Proven experience building and shipping systems that use LLMs or agents in production.
- Regular usage of agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and experience verifying AI-generated output.
- Deep experience with data warehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, and the modern data stack (e.g., Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Demonstrated ability to lead requirements gathering independently and bridge business needs with technical implementation.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to perform well as an independent contributor and team member.
- Experience supporting business functions like marketing, sales, finance, or operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, web analytics, and CDP tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hightouch, Segment) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production AI systems, including agent orchestration, tool and API integrations, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation harnesses.
- Architect and maintain marketing databases, datasets, pipelines, and the Customer Data Platform (CDP).
- Partner with the BI team to expand conversational analytics across the marketing organization.
- Identify and automate manual workflows with AI, taking projects from concept to production.
- Develop new data pipelines end-to-end, including schema discovery and vendor integration.
- Own the reliability and data quality of all developed systems.
- Partner autonomously with stakeholders to translate business questions into technical requirements.
- Write high-quality Python and SQL and manage AI-generated code output.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and define team best practices.
