Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience with AWS or an AWS Certification.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of Linux systems administration and configuration experience.
- Strong scripting skills, with a preference for Python or Bash.
- Experience with best practices for Cloud Networking and Security.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Experience with DNS and web server configurations.
- Knowledge of automating infrastructure builds utilizing tools such as Gitlab, Terraform, and CDK.
- Knowledge of containers and orchestration tools such as ECS or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to use AI to quickly come up to speed on large complex codebases.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, and key processes.
- Execute ongoing performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades, and resource optimization.
- Provision and configure hardware, services, settings, directories, and storage according to operational standards.
- Research and develop innovative, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
- Provide Tier II support for incidents and requests, investigating and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Maintain and contribute to the team knowledge base and documentation.
- Influence broader technology groups in the adoption of Cloud technologies and best practices.
