Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience, including managing products with an embedded service or operations component.
  • Proven experience owning products where the system includes both software and a human service operation.
  • Track record of redesigning labor-intensive workflows into automated or AI-assisted processes.
  • Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered document processing, extraction, or agentic automation into production.
  • Experience modernizing or migrating workflows off legacy or acquired systems while maintaining operational continuity.
  • Comfortable building business cases connecting automation and unit economics to gross margin.
  • Experience with document/data extraction, validation logic, or high-volume back-office and transaction processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to be accountable for a service delivery model beyond just a software roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for normalizing and validating raw bill data delivered by Plug into clean, structured payables.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to map labor-intensive workflows and prioritize automation initiatives.
  • Define and drive adoption of AI-powered extraction, document processing, and agentic automation.
  • Develop provider-specific tolerancing and exception-handling logic to reduce manual reviews.
  • Build business cases connecting automation to cost-per-bill-processed improvements and margin gains.
  • Plan and sequence the migration of processing workflows off legacy systems onto modern tooling.
  • Ensure Processing outputs feed Payments accurately and identify data quality gaps to prevent churn.
