Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience leading out-of-school-time programs, youth-serving initiatives, or community partnerships.
- Deep understanding of the out-of-school-time field and community-based operating environments.
- Demonstrated experience designing, launching, evaluating, and scaling pilot programs.
- Strong project management capabilities managing cross-functional projects, budgets, and timelines.
- Proven ability to build partnerships and influence decisions across organizations without direct authority.
- Experience developing operational processes and infrastructure for program delivery.
- Strong judgment, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, vendors, and grant deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop managers and other professionals.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% and live within reasonable distance of a major U.S. airport.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and ongoing management of out-of-school-time programs and community partnership initiatives.
- Oversee a portfolio of community-based initiatives, guiding programs through pilots, evaluation, and development into scalable models.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with out-of-school-time providers, community organizations, and national networks.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives by establishing ownership, decision rights, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Manage and develop team members, providing coaching and strategic direction.
- Oversee contractors, consultants, vendors, budgets, and grant deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Develop scalable tools, processes, and infrastructure covering partner selection, implementation, and risk management.
